Traveling during the pandemic has its pros and cons, and since driving your car allows you to keep social distancing and avoid interacting with new groups of people, road trips are kicking into high gear.
Although there is no such thing as zero-risk travel, people are opting for road trips as cars carry the least risk among other methods of transportation. However, people who are desperate for far getaways are choosing to fly to their destinations.
Whether you’re traveling by car, bus, or plane, this blog will teach you how to be a responsible traveler during Covid-19.
Â
Keep Track of Your Destination’s Travel Restrictions
Travel regulations are frequently updated; some countries are extending lockdown, some are basing their bans according to infection rates per country, and others are exempting travelers with negative test results from quarantine etc.
Every country has different criteria and asks for different requirements from travelers. So, before you hit the road, do your research and precheck the travel bans in your destinations to make sure you’re not going to get departed right after you arrive.
Get A PCR Test
You almost don’t have a choice but to take a PCR test before your trip as most countries are requiring at least one negative test result for coronavirus before flight departure and sometimes another one upon arrival as well.
Taking the test should be amongst the last items you check off of your to-do list so you can rest your mind and be sure you’re not spreading the disease everywhere you go.Â
When scheduling your test, set the test date according to the instruction of your airline and the laws of your destination. You shouldn’t schedule it too early that it expires before your flight, nor should you take it too late that you don’t have enough time to receive your results.
P.S If things get out of hand and you’re in a hurry, consider taking a rapid PCR test to save time!

Minimize The Risk Of Catching Coronavirus
Even if you’re coming from, or travelling to a green-list country, you should always take safety precautions!
For example, in an attempt to protect yourself and reduce contact with potential carriers, you should avoid eating inside restaurants and ask for outdoor seating, or order to-go and head to the park!
If you’re nervous about bumping into random people at the hotel, and don’t mind going all out adventure mode, consider camping. it’s cheaper, safer, and more adventurous!
Yes, you have to take a couple of extra steps to go on a successful journey during the pandemic, but with a little effort, you can have a great time and a safe experience!
